If you’re like most people who have jobs, you’re probably irked by thought of the shortest horror story: Monday
You’re telling jokes and having a great time with your friends over the weekend, then suddenly:
It’s hard to go from the weekend to Monday, especially if you’ve had great one that you wish wouldn’t have ended or worked very hard in the prior week.
Monday is that day of the week with the worst reputation. It’s the day you have to go back to life or work, the day that you realize you have 5 days until the next Friday!
So lets see why you hate Mondays and how you can go from hating Monday to loving it:
Problem #1: You hate your job
Let’s be honest here, when your job sucks, your life sucks because your job is what you do for a living! According to a poll conducted by market information company The Conference Board, many Americans hate their job but this is not just the case in United States. Less than half of employees say they are satisfied with their job and there is only one reason for it: You’r job is not what you passionate about. It’s just there to pay your bills and get you through everyday life.
Solution: Start your own business
I bet you’re like: No sh*t Sean!
Ok calm down because I want to ask you a question: “Until when or what age you want to work for someone else, grow their business and hate yourself for doing that? Don’t you think it’s time to make a move for a better and more fun feature?”
I came to realize this at the age of 18 and that’s why I own my business today. Starting my own business helped me to go from hating Mondays to simply not caring about it anymore. I’m not saying I love Mondays, but I just don’t care about them anymore. I’m writing this article on a Saturday morning and I’m not complaining, because this is my own business and I know that I’m growing my own business. This gets me excited!
Why my Mondays are easy:
- I’m not worried about being late to work
- I’m not worried about deadlines and projects
- I can take my time to wake up fully, eat breakfast in peace and go to my office (I usually start around 11:00 am)
- I can take a day off whenever I want to
By owning your business, you can claim back your Mondays and going from this:
** You can go here if you want to know what I do for a living and how I earn 30k a month
Problem #2: Monday only likes to show you how terrible your life is in comparison to others
Everyone has had a great weekend, they went to bars, parties and had fun with their friends, but you didn’t do any of those. Now it’s Monday and they are all taking about it and you have to listen to them and when they ask what did you do, your answer is: …..nothing….
We don’t even have time to talk about the pictures your friends posted on Facebook about the epic weekend they had.
Solution: Take control of your life before it’s too late
First, figure out what would you do if your problem with x,y,z wouldn’t exit, got it? (get yourself motivated about the happy ending) Now it’s time to think about your problems. Too much work to do? Ask someone else or pay them to do it for you. Can’t pay them? start a business.
Try to make more of your behaviors automatic and do the most important thing first in the morning. Maybe one of the reasons you’re not having enough fun in the weekend is because you simply can’t afford it, In this case I’m going to say this again and again: start your own business and take control.
Problem #3: Vacation ends
If you just came back from an incredible vacation, free of schedules, deadlines, projects, pressure and getting up early, that first day back at work – also known as Monday – can be a depressing shock.
Solution: You’ll have more…
Try to understand that you’ll have more vacation, there will be another weekend and more travels in future. This is a problem that I personally deal sometimes when I get back from a 2 week vacation, but in my case, I know that I’m going to have more vacations and also, I make money while having fun in my vacation. That’s one of the best parts of owning an online business.
Problem #4: You have too much work to do
As a single man, I don’t have too many responsibilities in my life, but I can get an idea how’s life for someone with kids and work. You have to wake up, feed your kids, take them to school, be in traffic for one hour and then go to work after weekend.
Solution: Ask for help from your friends or family
Again, I’m not sure how things work when you have a family, but you can divide work with your family members or if they are packed with tasks like you, you can pay someone to do your work for you.
Most of your Monday hate come from your job and money problems. I’ve mentioned the solution to your Monday hate many times. The question is, are you going to take action?
