Traffic has been always a big concern for every blogger, specially for new bloggers. In this article I will show you 6 effective ways to get real traffic to your blog with no SEO and money. Getting traffic is not the hard part, but getting traffic that actually converts and gives you new fans is the hard part. A very big problem with many articles on the internet about getting traffic, they teach you how to get traffic using very general ways like social media or other usual methods that they use and they don’t explain anything at all about it. What if someone doesn’t have any twitter followers or subscribers? In this post, I will share 6 effective and real ways to get real traffic to your blog in a very short time. I decided to have 2 versions of this article. I made a video for it which explain’s everything that you need to know and a written version of the article which is more compact and I will only mention important tips and used links in there. so please watch the video and then look for used links and sources under the video.
- 1. YouTube
YouTube is the best source of traffic for any niche. I get %80 of my traffic from YouTube. Make a video about a subject for your blog, just like I did for this post and put your blog link in the description. Upload it to your channel and use these methods to rank your video high in YouTube and Google. Give it some time and see how incredible it will be. After a while you will be getting tons of traffic to your blog for free.
- 2. Creating Infographics
Info graphics generally draw lots of attention in any niche. All you need to do is to have enough data about a related subject to your blog. All you need to do is sign up in Pikochart for free and then start creating your infographic image for free with dozens of pre-made templates. It’s a very easy work to do and if you have everything ready, it will take less than 30 minutes to create a good-looking one. Another good point in making infographics is SEO. Google LOVES infographics. I did a small case study on Danny Darwin’s blog about creating infographics and what I got in results was simply incredible. 2 weeks after publishing the infographic, blog traffic increased 4 times more than before.
- 3. Comment Drifting
Comment drifting is one of the smartest blogging decisions that anyone makes if you decide to do it. In this method, you find very good and popular blogs same as your niche. you follow them and read their articles and then you leave a comment to their new posts. Beside learning from their strategies, you get to share your links in their comment. Now what you need to learn is not being a spammer. No one likes spammer so if you just try something like: “Hey I just found your blog, your post was great. visit my site”, you will be known as a spammer. Don’t ever ask them to visit your site. It’s lame and unprofessional. Mention your blog post when it supports article and can help to their visitors. Don’t push hard to leave your blog address in the comment section. Right now, I want to show you how exactly I do this. Lets say I just published a post about YouTube SEO on my blog. I will go and find popular blogs who just wrote a post about YouTube SEO ( Their post has should be new). The I read their article and leave a very good comment about it. I explain what I think about the article and some other things like, what they miss. Then I link to my blog post and say I just talked about this in my blog post. This is how they approve your comment. Because it’s legit, completes their article and gives good extra information to visitors. So as you see, this is how you use their articles to get new visitors to your blog.
“Yahoo answers” is one of the greatest places to get traffic beside YouTube. It’s easy and the traffic from it is very huge. I placed a link to an article from Yahoo answers one year ago and today I’m still getting traffic from it. While “yahoo answers” is a great place to get traffic, it has lots of rules that you need to keep in mind and obey them. Again, don’t be a spammer. Try to actually HELP people to solve their problems and then if necessary, give them a link to your blog. Find questions around your blog or article’s subject and answer them briefly and then give them a link as “Source of your information”. Don’t try to advertise your blog post or push it hard. If you do it right, You can get lots of traffic from this and if you do it wrong, Yahoo! will suspend your account. Try to solve the problem, but not completely so they will come to your blog to learn more. check out this answer: As you see, I helped to answer the question, but I did not finish it, so he will come to my blog to read more.
Empire Avenue is one of the most famous social marketing websites out there. You basically complete missions in there to get credits, then you start your own mission to get people to do what you are asking them. You “start missions” for other people to visit your blog, after they visit your blog, you give them credit for their doing. You can ask them anything you want. For example, I always ask them to visit and share my blog post on Google Plus or twitter and I pay them well! [ You don’t pay in real money, you do missions and earn credit, then you start your own mission] It’s up to them to do it or not, but %80 of people who complete your mission actually do what you ask them. Empire avenue has a lot to talk about and because it’s hard to explain all of them in this article ( and also I’m lazy to write), I explained more in the video.
6. using Reddit and Imgur
This is one of the most used way of getting traffic to your blog and if you do it right, it can deliver thousands of people within minutes! You can’t always use this method because it has some requirements but I’m going to show you how it works. First you will need to have an interesting image that would get attention of readers. Something funny or inspirational or anything that drags the attention of a specific group. Then you go to Imgur.com and upload your image in there and add a nice description plus your blog address
and here is the result: Then go to Reddit and open an account if you don’t have any. It takes less than 30 seconds to create an account in Reddit. Now you need to add your image link. Remember that you need to add the Imgur page URL, not the direct link to image. Go to submit section of Reddit and start filling the form. TITLE is the most important part of this method. You need to add a title that people will visit and also again, it should not push them too hard to see the image. see what I used: and 20 minutes later, I got over 20,000 views to the image and 4,000 visitors to my site. All in 20 minutes. And here we are, at the end of this post. I hope this was a useful post to everyone. Regards,
